Registration is officially open for the Gateway Fashion Festival 2026, with opportunities now available for fashion entrepreneurs, emerging creatives and young women seeking a platform to showcase their talent, build their careers and gain industry recognition.
The festival has opened three major participation channels for its 2026 edition: registration for the Gateway Fashion Show and Fashionpreneur programme, nominations for the Gateway Fashion Festival Awards, and applications for Miss Gateway 2026. Registration and nominations close on September 30, 2026.
For fashion entrepreneurs, the Gateway Fashion Show provides a platform to showcase their work before an audience of industry stakeholders and creative economy players. Participants will also have access to a fashion business masterclass and ICSS certification, while selected designers will have the opportunity to pitch for a ₦5 million fashion business grant to support business growth and expansion.
The festival is also inviting nominations for the Gateway Fashion Festival Awards, which will celebrate outstanding fashion creatives whose work, innovation and contribution have distinguished them within the industry. The awards provide an avenue for exceptional talents and industry contributors to receive public recognition for their work.
Applications are equally open for Miss Gateway 2026, with young women between the ages of 16 and 30 invited to compete for the crown. The winner will receive a ₦1 million cash prize, in addition to the visibility and opportunities that come with the title.
Speaking on the opening of registration, the Convener of Gateway Fashion Festival, Mrs Maraiyesa Ayokunle Egwunyenga, said the festival was created to connect talent with the opportunities required to move forward.
“Sometimes, the greatest barrier between talent and opportunity is simply having the right platform. Gateway Fashion Festival is that opportunity for many people who have been waiting for their chance to be seen, heard and celebrated. You do not have to figure everything out at once. You only need to take the first step.”
Egwunyenga said the festival welcomes participants at different stages of their creative journeys, adding that the goal is to create meaningful pathways for talent, enterprise and personal development.
