Those against Peter Obi statement on “turning vigils to night shifts”

Those against and attacking Peter Obi statement on ‘turning vigils to night shifts’ knows the direction he’s driving to, but you all choose to pretend not to know, because you have given yourselves the title no one gave to you ‘Defendants of the Church.’

How can a country grow when more churches are built than industries and factories production which can be invested heavily on, provide job opportunities and boost the economy?

Enter a street in one of the states in the country, before you reach the end of that street, you have counted more than 50 worship centers, which includes mosques, churches and prayer houses.

Before you come at me and give me a negative title, I am a true believer of the word of God who believes in the work of Christ, at the same time believe a country needs to invest more in production to boost her economy.

You’re comparing a church to a club that contributes to the country’s revenue through tax and is one of the sectors for provision of jobs for the unemployed in the country.

There’s a church somewhere planning to expand its auditorium to accommodate more members, what happens to investing in the empty lands for production that want to be used for worship centers?

They can be used for industries or factory production to provide jobs for the unemployed members in which it can generate revenue for the country and help grow the country’s economy. Take for instance AGRICULTURE.

Agriculture has been proven to be one of the best sectors to grow a country’s economy. There are countries whose economy has grown through heavy investments in Agriculture.

Not every time we see empty lands and the next thing is trying to erect a building for worship centers or residential buildings that’s abandoned. It can be invested in agriculture or other factory production.

When a store house is vacated, the next thing it is used for is church.

It’s about time people stop convulsing and feeling attacked whenever the activities of religion are criticised or questioned. Instead look at the bigger picture and know the direction the person is driving to or rather don’t pretend not to know.

Those of you attacking his statements will travel to a saner clime and forget there’s ever a thing called ‘Vigil’ because you are trying to see how you can use that time to do ‘night shift’ and earn more income.

Why then are you attacking his statement and making him look like an Anti-Christ? Abi you no want your country to grow?

Man didn’t say worship centers should be destroyed or worshippers should be stopped from going to worship centers. Instead he is saying it’s about time more energy is centered on creation of jobs which can be used to boost the country’s economy.

We have many worship centers in the country today. Tell me how has it helped in boosting the country’s economy? So rather than feeling attacked when religious activities are criticised, look on the brighter side.

The verses Malachi 3:10, Leviticus 27:30, Deut. 14:22, and so on, that church leaders use to preach to members about paying tithe, has to do with production. It’s from production you tend to generate your tithe. So tell me how this can be possible when there is no production?

Put sentiment aside. Go and read what the bible say about Christians contributing to the economy of the country.

I leave you with these verses 2 These 3:10-12, Colossians 3:23-24, Proverbs 22:29, and search for more yourselves.

And yes RELIGION is one of the major problems in Nigeria. Instead of being a defender of religion at unnecessary times, go boost your country’s economy.
