Dr. Babatunde Oyetola Diya, Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, has announced the appointment of Deacon Stanley Olunogun as the new Secretary to the Local Government. This appointment reflects the Chairman’s confidence in Deacon Olunogun’s capacity to drive positive transformation in the region.
Deacon Stanley Davies Olunogun brings a wealth of experience to his new role. A certified professional from the Institute of Insurance Marketing, Lagos, and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Deacon Olunogun is also an accomplished accountant. His career spans several years in accounting before transitioning to political journalism as a media consultant.
A graduate of the Redeemed Bible College, Lagos, Deacon Olunogun has also earned additional certifications from the Encouragement Initiative Academy, Ijebu-Ode. His extensive background in administration, accounting, and political journalism positions him as an ideal candidate for this significant role.
With over 15 years of experience in politics, Deacon Olunogun has demonstrated exceptional dedication to grassroots development. He has served as Unit Chairman in Odogbolu since 2016 and played pivotal roles as Head of Media to the Odogbolu Campaign Central Council and the Chairman’s campaign team during the last November 16 elections. His efforts in promoting community development earned him the prestigious Ijebu Man of the Year award for 2020-2021.
In addition to his political and administrative accomplishments, Deacon Olunogun is an established writer, publisher, and editor. He is deeply committed to mentoring and empowering individuals, ensuring sustainable growth in his community.
